How to Install Shelf Dividers on Boltless / Teardrop Racks

Identify your rack type
Boltless (also called rivet, teardrop, or keyhole) racks have a flat horizontal front beam that the shelf deck rests on. Most garage and warehouse shelving sold under Muscle Rack, Edsal, Husky, WORKPRO, Project Source, and Global Industrial uses this geometry.
If your rack has a flat front rail roughly 1.5″ tall and ≤ 1.75″ thick, our clip will fit.
Snap the clip onto the front beam
Hold the bracket so the U-shaped lip is facing down. Hook the lip over the front rail of the shelf and rotate the bracket back until it sits flush against the beam.
The geometry is designed so the bracket can only seat one way — if it doesn't drop in, flip it 180°.
Lock with the thumb screw
Hand-tighten the knurled thumb screw underneath the bracket. The screw pulls the back lip up into the underside of the beam, creating a friction fit that won't slide under load.
No tools needed. Re-tighten every few months if your rack vibrates heavily.
Slide in your divider panel
The vertical slot accepts any 4mm-thick rigid sheet — our custom-cut cardboard inserts, your own corrugated, or acrylic / coroplast / foam board.
Sizing tip: order each insert ½″ shorter than your shelf depth so it slots cleanly behind the rear rail (e.g. 23.5″ for a 24″ shelf).
Removing or repositioning
Loosen the thumb screw a half-turn and rotate the bracket forward. The lip releases without scratching the beam. Reuse infinitely — no adhesive residue, no drill holes.
