Shelf Dividers That Actually Stay Put.

A clip-on shelf divider system engineered for boltless and teardrop warehouse racking. The bracket snaps onto your existing front rail, a knurled thumb screw locks it in place, and a 4mm-thick cardboard insert slots in to form a vertical partition. No drilling, no tools, no permanent modification — and it works on wire, particle board, MDF, and steel decks alike.

Where customers use them

Built for boltless / teardrop racking.

Shelf dividers, shelf separators, shelving dividers — different names for the same job. Ours target the most common industrial geometry: a 1.5″ flat front beam with teardrop keyhole uprights. That's Muscle Rack, Edsal, Husky, WORKPRO, Project Source, Global Industrial, and most big-box garage shelving.

Sizing — pick depth and height.

The bracket is one size and fits any standard 1.5″ front rail. You only need to decide the cardboard insert size: depth should match your shelf depth (12″, 18″, and 24″ cover most boltless racks) and height should sit just under the lip of your next shelf. The configurator does the math for you — and any non-standard depth or height is custom-cut at no upcharge.

Shelf divider FAQ.

What are shelf dividers?+

Shelf dividers are vertical partitions that split a shelf into smaller bins or lanes so product stays sorted instead of sliding together. They're used in warehouses, retail backrooms, ecommerce fulfillment, garages, and any storage shelf where you want organized zones.

What kinds of shelf dividers exist?+

Five common types: (1) clip-on bracket systems like ours that snap onto the front rail; (2) welded metal dividers bolted to the rack; (3) wire dividers that slide between rods on wire shelving; (4) magnetic dividers for steel shelves; (5) cardboard slot dividers (bin boxes). Each has trade-offs in cost, install time, and how often you can rearrange.

Do shelf dividers fit standard warehouse racking?+

Ours do. The clip is sized for the 1.5″ front beam used on Muscle Rack, Edsal, Husky, WORKPRO, Project Source, Global Industrial, Gladiator, and most big-box boltless / teardrop shelving. We recommend ordering a $25 sample kit to verify fit before bulk.

How much do shelf dividers cost?+

Our brackets are $4/ea at 1–50 units, $3.50 at 51–200, $3.00 at 201–500, and $2.50 at 501+. Cardboard inserts add $0.75 each. Top-of-shelf label brackets start at $5. Welded metal dividers from big-box retailers usually run $15–$40 each; wire dividers $1–$3 but only work on wire decks.

How long does it take to install a shelf divider?+

About 30 seconds per bracket. The U-shaped lip drops over the front shelf rail, a knurled thumb screw locks it down, then you slide in the cardboard insert. No drilling, no tools, no permanent modification to the rack.

Can I reuse shelf dividers if I rearrange my shelves?+

Yes. Loosen the thumb screw, lift the bracket off, reposition anywhere along the front rail. The PLA bracket and steel screw are reusable indefinitely. Only the cardboard insert wears (and replacement inserts are $0.75).

Do shelf dividers work on solid (steel or MDF) shelves?+

Yes — that's the main advantage over wire dividers. Wire dividers need rods to clip into. A clip-on bracket grabs the front beam of the rack itself, so it works equally on wire, particle board, MDF, and stamped steel decks.

Are shelf dividers strong enough for heavy product?+

Our system is rated for typical warehouse loads — boxed goods, fasteners, small parts, returns, ecommerce SKUs. About 25 lbs of lateral load per partition. For static loads over 50 lbs per divider (automotive parts, steel stock), welded metal is still the right call.

What size shelf dividers do I need?+

Pick the cardboard insert depth to match your shelf depth (12″, 18″, 24″ are most common) and the height to suit your product. Bracket itself is one size — fits any standard 1.5″ front beam. See our sizing guide for more.

Can I get shelf dividers in different colors?+

29 PLA colors. You can mix colors in a single order (e.g. red for receiving, blue for outbound, yellow for returns) and tier pricing applies to the combined unit count, not per-color.
